I took my T-top down,

Gonna get my music fix,

Heading out from Chicago

Down Route 66!

 

With the sun beatin’ down,

And my best music mix,

Only smiles, never frowns,

Down Route 66!

 

I’m California bound,

Through Amarillo, other picks,

The Mother Road has many towns,

Down Route 66!

 

Won’t you come with me,

We’ll laugh like lunatics!

There’s lots to do and see

Down Route 66!
