WON’T YOU BE MINE

couple

(I had composed and planned to share with you today a silly poem about chitlins, but, on the way to work, I composed the following sweet, little poem. I hope you like it! We can laugh about chitlins later!)  🙂

WON’T YOU BE MINE

Won’t you be mine

From nine til eleven?

Two hours with you

Would be like Heaven!

For the rest of the night

You would be free!

Unless you choose to wake me

At a quarter til three!  😊

LIFE’S STARK REALITY

(Today, I wanted to compose a more serious poem, but, don’t worry, tomorrow, I plan to return to lighthearted stuff!)

LIFE’S STARK REALITY

When we were young,

We thought we’d live forever,

And until death’s bell has rung,

Most will dream on and never

Heed the signs that time

Is not on our side,

But our dreams, so sublime,

Will soon collide,

With life’s stark reality,

That we are here, then gone,

No immortal banality,

And all will die, alone, alone.

MY MEAN MOTHER IN LAW!

witch

[Please note that the following poem is mostly fictional and meant only for fun

and is not meant to disparage anyone in particular, nor mothers in law

generally, many of whom are quite sweet and human!]  😊

MY MEAN MOTHER IN LAW

Let me tell you a frightening tale

About the meanest hag I ever saw,

This creature’s surely bound for Hell,

She’s my mean mother in law!

She has sharp claws in her paws,

And her churlish lips drip with lies,

She would frighten Santa Claus

With her evil, beady eyes!

Her horns are well hidden

In her drab, stringy hair,

She’s a cold-hearted demon

If there’s even a heart there!

She loves to stir the pot

She loves to fight and fuss,

She could make a flower wilt

And make a preacher cuss!

If you think I’m being harsh,

You couldn’t be any wronger,

She made a pact with brother Satan

Just to stay here a little longer!

So, please heed my tale,

Beware this evil creature!

Run for the hills!

Before she catches ya and eats yer!   😊

GREEDY DOCTOR BUNGLE’S JUNGLE TSETSE FLY BUTT BITE EPIPHANY!

GREEDY DR. BUNGLE’S JUNGLE TSETSE FLY BUTT BITE EPIPHANY!

I was bitten in the butt

By a testy tsetse fly,

While in a jungle hut,

I just knew I would die!

I wandered in the jungle

In a stupor and a daze,

I found a Doctor Bungle,

He gave me a quick gaze,

Dr. Bungle quickly said,

“A tsetse fly bit your ass?

Well, you’ll soon be dead,”

“Give me $500 … make it fast!”

But then, a tsetse fly bit the Doc’s butt, suddenly!

And greedy Doctor Bungle had an epiphany,

“Give the money to the fly,” he said, “Don’t you see?”

“He’s a better blood sucker than I’ll ever be!”
