AS LOVELY AS A TREE

AS LOVELY AS A TREE

The poet, Kilmer, was wrong,

It’s clear to see,

A poem about you

Would be as lovely as a tree,

Tis true, you may not have

“Nests of robins in your hair,”

But your beauty could stop a clock

If you walked through Times Square,

And you’re not just wood, what’s more,

Kindness and beauty permeate your core,

While poems may be “made by fools like me,”

A poem about you is as lovely as a tree!   😊

In THE APPLE TREE

IN THE APPLE TREE

Won’t you please sit with me

High up in the apple tree?

You may wonder if it’s love,

But as we look down from above,

We’ll discuss our plans and dreams,

And if boundless love then beams,

We’ll look down upon the world,

And share our lives unfurled,

So, please come sit with me

High up in the apple tree.   🙂
