THE LITTLE FROG

THE LITTLE FROG!

Way down South

In the Okefenokee,

There sat a sad frog

Who felt a bit pokey,

The frog had many

Sad memories to nurse,

As he pondered his fate

In the universe,

He had lost all his friends

Which was really bad,

But he’d also just lost

His mom and dad,

So, he sat there

In a cool, dense fog,

A lonely, little frog

Sitting on a log,

Then, much to his surprise,

Before you can say “giblet,”

There sat, before his eyes,

A girl frog, who went “ribbit!”

Now, the little frog

No longer felt pokey,

Had he found a new friend?

Okey, dokey!   😊

DON’T YOU DARE SMILE AT ME!

smile stop

DON’T YOU DARE SMILE AT ME!

Don’t you dare smile at me!

I’m filled with bile, don’t you see?

I chop off whiskers of kittens

Which have lost their mittens,

And I am mesmerized

With removing wings from flies!

But wait!  One smile!  Now, I’m changed!

I no longer feel so vile and deranged!

Now, please won’t you help me find some glue

To re-attach whiskers and flies’ wings, too!   😊

FEELING BLUE

FEELING BLUE!

If blue is a beautiful color,

Just like a bright Spring sky,

Then tell me why, if I’m blue,

I feel like I will die?

Nature’s blue is always happy,

Feeling “blue” should be the same, so,

When you’re feeling blue

It means you feel like a lovely rainbow!

I can’t change how I feel,

But can’t we change the meaning of blue?

So, when you hear I am that color,

You’ll think I feel wonderful, too.   😊
