LOVE’S LIMITS

I would run 1,000 miles

Just for you,

And Darling, if you smile,

I might make it two,

 

But as to three or four,

There’s some doubt,

Please don’t make me sore, or

Wear my running shoes out!

 

Our love burns bright,

Nothing can dim it,

But even a kite

Has its limits!   😊

The world moves too fast,

We can’t jump off,

But we can slow down,

And play some golf,

 

We should also stop

To smell the roses,

And pick up

Pocketsful of posies,

 

But when we hear

Ice cream truck bells,

Drop the posies,

And run like H*ll!   😊
