THE STINKIEST JOB!

I have the stinkiest job

Which ever stank,

I clean the insides

Of septic tanks!

 

They lower me by

A slender rope,

Which I pray

Won’t break, I hope,

 

And I must use

A small toothbrush,

I scrub and scrub,

And never rush,

 

As I scrub the walls

Inside vile bins,

I listen to strings

Of Vivaldi’s violins,

 

Then, I scrub and scrub

With bars of lye soap,

To remove all

Tank poop, I hope,

 

I love my job,

But I may ask,

My boss if I…

May wear a mask!   😊
