In THE APPLE TREE

IN THE APPLE TREE

Won’t you please sit with me

High up in the apple tree?

You may wonder if it’s love,

But as we look down from above,

We’ll discuss our plans and dreams,

And if boundless love then beams,

We’ll look down upon the world,

And share our lives unfurled,

So, please come sit with me

High up in the apple tree.   🙂

MY TRIBUTE TO ELIZABETH BARRETT BROWNING

If it was my choice,

I would be crowning,

As Queen of Poets,

Elizabeth Barrett Browning,

Her romantic poetry

Is without parallel,

Her Sonnets from the Portuguese

Illustrate this well,

Thank you, Elizabeth,

For Sonnet 43,

Thank you, for unlocking

The poet in me,

If I am asked,

“How do I love thee?”

I shall be writing

For eternity!

TWO LONELY LOVERS

lovers

TWO LONELY LOVERS

Two lonely lovers,

One single glance,

Soon, two lovers

Begin one dance,

Two lonely lovers

Dance through the night,

Clinging together

Very, very tight!

Two lonely lovers

One warm embrace,

Heart to heart,

And face to face!

Now, two happy lovers

From one single glance

And one love emerges

From one single dance!   🙂
