ROCKY ROADS AND LOYAL FRIENDS

ROCKY ROADS AND LOYAL FRIENDS

If my life is like a truck,

Its shocks are surely shot,

Rockin’ down this rocky road,

Bad luck is all I’ve got,

No job, no life, no dough,

Just sickness, death, and grief,

Happiness is my foe,

A bottle: my relief,

But on this rocky road beside me,

My one true, loyal friend,

My dog will not deride me,

He’ll stick by me til the end.   😊

MY DOG, FRED

MY DOG FRED

My story has a lesson

And a whole lot of sad,

It’s about the best dog,

Anybody ever had,

My dog, named Fred,

Was always by my side,

Until the tragic day,

When my loyal pet died,

He ran into the street,

To retrieve an errant ball,

He was hit by a truck,

And that was all,

You may lose a spouse,

A husband or a wife,

But a dog will stick by you,

For the rest of his life!   😊

MY DAWG FRED

MY DAWG FRED

I was really worried so,

About my dawg, Fred,

His tongue hung really low,

Like he was plumb dead,

I went to the vet, Dr. Shine,

She said, “Don’t worry, he’ll be fine,”

“Just like a ripe muscadine!”

“But one more thing,” she said,

“You really had oughter,”

“Keep Fred away from foul toilet water!”   😊
