A COWBOY’S LIFE
A cowboy’s life is tough,
Hot weather, briars, and stickers,
But I like it good enough,
O’er the lives of city slickers!
I live in a saddle,
On an endless prairie trail,
I round up wayward cattle,
There’s not much else to tell,
Just give me rowdy card games,
And an open sky at night,
And a lovely lady, and just maybe
A raucous saloon fight!
My days are long, of course,
My diet: beans and dust,
My best friend is my horse,
And my “virtues:” greed and lust! 😊
