DAD BODS!

DAD BODS!

They say, “dad bods” are popular,

So, I am where it’s at!

Just a little out of shape,

Just a teeny bit fat,

So, put me on a runway,

And watch me strut my stuff,

Then, I bet you’ll shout,

“Please stop, that’s enough!”

DEADBEAT HELL

hell

DEADBEAT HELL

Any man who hits his wife,

And fills her life with fear and strife,

Any man who won’t work and pay

To support his children every day,

In worst cases, send him straight to jail,

And then, straight to Deadbeat Hell!

DAUGHTERS AND THEIR DADS II

daughter and dad

Do you ever revise or re-write a poem?  I do!  I am sure you do, too.  Here is a re-write of my poem I posted last Friday.  Actually, last Friday’s version was the “final version!” The original version today is a bit sadder.

DAUGHTERS AND THEIR DADS

Since the day she was born
With just a single curl,
A name she’s proudly worn
Is Daddy’s Little Girl!

Momma died when she was born,
Her babe, a tiny pearl,
Daddy’s heart was sad and torn,
But he loved his little girl!

Not as big as a minute,
She tagged along, fishin’,
What he did, she was in it,
Where he went: her mission!

Yes, she’s Daddy’s girl – whether
They’re together or apart!
She’s Daddy’s little pearl,
Cuz Daddy has her heart!

But one day, the doctor said,
Dad’s x-rays look real bad,
In six weeks, he’ll be dead,
Daddy’s girl was so sad.

Daddy, oh Daddy,
Please don’t go!
Daddy, oh Daddy,
She loves you so!

Daddy, oh Daddy,
Though you leave this world,
She’ll always be
Your little girl.

Daddies and their daughters
Have a special bond, you see,
A love no one taught her,
A love born naturally.

DAUGHTERS AND THEIR DADS

daughter and dad

DAUGHTERS AND THEIR DADS

When she was first born,

Her daddy held her in his arms,

And from that first morn,

He’d vow to save her from all harm,

Daughters and their daddies

Have a special bond, you see,

A love no one taught her,

A love born naturally,

Although she’s now grown,

She’s still his precious pearl,

Both of them have always known

She’ll stay his little girl!

Today is her wedding day,

And though it may appear

He is happy and okay,

Inside, he’ll shed a tear.

Yes, daughters and their daddies

Have a special bond, you see,

A love no one taught her,

A love born naturally.   🙂

LIFE LESSONS FOR MY DAUGHTER

LIFE LESSONS FOR MY DAUGHTER

Don’t you think I really oughta

Teach some life lessons to my darling daughter?

  1. Diet or exercise may be your friend,
  2. But you’ll love chocolate until the end!
  3. You don’t need lots of expensive tools,
  4. Just a hammer and duct tape, and you’ll be cool.
  5. Don’t smoke cigarettes and try not to speed,
  6. And please stay away from “whacky weed!”
  7. As for guys, before you say where your heart is at,
  8. Watch how he treats your dog or cat,
  9. And if he ever tries to give you some crap,
  10. Let him see the power of your taser gun’s zap!  😊
