THE “HEEBIE-JEEBIES”

(The “Heebie Jeebies” was a real song, composed and written by Boyd Atkins, which achieved fame when it was recorded by the great Louis Armstrong in 1926).

THE HEEBIE-JEEBIES!

I’d been down in the dumps

And feelin’ kinda frumpy,

I was sick with a cold,

And felt so old and grumpy,

 

But I heard a Louis Armstrong song,

A special song which made me jumpy,

The “Heebie Jeebies” was his song,

And before so very long,

 

My toes started tapping,

Then, my fingers started snapping,

Suddenly, my cold had gone away!

I sang like Doris Day meets LL Cool J!

 

Then, I hit the dance floor

With dance moves, and much, much more,

I even tried to break dance,

Like I had ants in my pants,

 

I sang and danced The Heebie Jeebies,

With lots of dance move freebies!

Now, I feel so great and cool,

Like a young, kickin’ mule!

And listen to this song!

The Heebie Jeebies sheds all frowns,
