ONE MAN DEAD AND ONE LIE TOLD
I shot John Brown
In his wicked head,
Then, shot three more times
To make sure he was dead,
John Brown was a bully
Since he was ten,
But now he’ll never ever
Be a bully again,
I laid a second gun
Beside him on the floor,
Then, I quickly ran
Outside the door,
If I get caught,
I will be bold,
There will be one man dead
And one lie told.
Beautifully written. Powerful. Wish there was a perfect way to end humanity’s eternal problem: power abuse, where the abused very often end up abusing because they are seeking revenge for the inflicted wounds caused by a family member, a classmate, a workmate and their silent followers, etc. I am glad I once helped solve a case of bullying in one of my classes.

Thank you for your interesting comment! I would imagine that you would do a great job as a “bully stopper!” As a career prosecutor, I often saw such depravity in human beings.

Yes, we are all potential abusers. It is in our genes as human animals. Your job is difficult, but I guess you try to do your best.

Please understand that I meant you’d be great at STOPPING bullies and not that you were one! You are clearly a very kind person!
